So, Spring is here and these two male pigeons (Percutio and Pomeo) have obviously felt the sap rising!
They have been fighting and fighting over a certain female pigeon (Paloma)!
Here’s them in a slight stand off pose…..

Percutio Pigeon and Pomeo Pigeon eye each other suspiciously and check each other out to see who’s biggest!
But with the cunning of those who practise Tai Chi……

….Percutio leaps with the speed and stealth of a tiger shouting “Coooooo-ya!” at the top of his beak!

Deftly, Pomeo moves backwards wings in upright mode whilst Percutio tries a sideswipe!
Pomeo propels himself upwards in a counter attack…

Screeching in a viciously coo-ey sort of way, that’s scary only to pigeons, Pomeo shouts, “She’s mine and whilst I have beats in my wings and coos in my heart you will never have Paloma Pigeon as your gal! Yaaaaaa-coo!”
Pomeo remembers the Griffin pose, taught by the ancient pigeons of London and begins his counter attack for real!!

Quite a scary Griffin pose eh?
Pomeo is back in control and Percutio knows he’s in trouble…..

Pomeo now takes on the “Come a step nearer and I’ll clock you one round the side of your feathered head mate” stance!

Percutio wonders if he is beaten and skulks off down the fence…..
They then both swoop off and land on the shed roof where it continues with Pomeo holding his ground with the
“Come a step nearer and I’ll clock you one round the side of your feathered head mate” stance again…..

Meanwhile Paloma Pigeon watches……
