Look at these Beadlet Anemones…..
You have to forgive my childish giggling when looking at this little lovely….it does look a little saucy though doesn’t it!!
So does this one!!!
Now this next one is rather gorgeous I think!
It’s a strawberry anemone and apparently far less common (doncha know!) than the ones above!
Mind you, in Cornwall it’s a little more common!
However I was in Devon and here is she who I am twittering about!
Here’s a couple of interesting facts for you…..
Each anemone is a large individual polyp with a mouth surrounded by tentacles.
The number of tentacles varies depending on the species and age, but is common for them to be in multiples of six.
And that’s all for today!
See Ya xx
We went to the seaside!!
Look what I found…….
This is an anemone with the name Snake Locks!
It’s in just a little bit of water in the rock pool…as are these next photos!
And as always with me…just a little closer up….
…and a little closer up again!
This one looks like it has been in the wind!
The next photos are of the anemone fully submerged in a rock pool and sort of floating free!
This next poor anemone is completely out of water…
Jelly on a plate!
I think this next one is my favourite though!
See Ya xx
