So, once more at the allotment, with camera in hand (I know I know! It should be a spade or fork… OK!!) I sidled off to the chickens just round the corner.
I seem to have developed quite a penchant for chickens bottoms tail feathers as seen below!
The chickens got together and decided to never turn their backs on that camera woman again!!
In fact, they kept her well in their sight!
“It’s OK chaps, I can see her, she’s right in front of me, apparently captivated by the pattern of my feathers!” cackled Harriet to her friends!
“Ill engage her in fascination with the strange light grey dot of something unmentionable on my head!” Norbert added, aware that he wasn’t sure of what it was either, but at least the camera wasn’t up his rear end!
“Not many people can resist the colour of my feathers!” said Criton Cockerel, “And I hope you blog readers out there realise that she has not done any photo shopping on any of these photos!” he added as an after thought!
“Wow de wow!” said Criton, only to aware that he probably shouldn’t have said it about himself AND out loud!
That’s All!

There we were on the allotment, trying to work out what to plant…(well I wasn’t….I was looking for photo opportunities!)…and what should I espy?
Little buds of red calling out to be photographed!
Then there are these with more leaves showing through…
And one more step along the leafage route….
What I’m worried about is that it’s just me who thinks that baby rhubarb looks amazing!!
That’s All!

Ooh am I glad that I have a warm stove that keeps my house toastie warm? We definitely needed it last night as it hit the below zeros!
So there I was this morning, lounging about, knowing I had to get up and going soon, when I thought, “I wonder what the weather looks like today!”
I peaked out of the window and saw frost frost frosty frost everywhere!
“I sense a photo opportunity!” thought I, and leapt out of bed and into clothes.
Here are my efforts….
And….
Followed by…..
Then I took a photo of the ice on the top of my fence…not sure if this works…what do you think?
Then here’s some frozen wood…
So….
Then there’s the last of my sweet peas who seem to think it’s jolly hot judging by the amount of sweat on them!(?)
And that’s all!

Oh me oh my what a busy time I’ve had.
I’ve been transacting on eBay.
I’ve been painting doors.
I’ve been putting my dahlias to bed before the frost!
But, as always, I got distracted in the middle of it all and found myself lying on the cold flagstones outside my kitchen door, taking photos of orchids from underneath! The sky was so blue and the orchid was so white!
See what you think! The first picture just shows you the type of orchid…..
And as always a very close up right in his tummy sort of shot……
Now for the shots that chilled my bottom to the bone….
Also, some single flowers…
And finally my favourite photo (I think though the really close up one is a close second)….
That’s all!

The title of this blog is a bit of a song my dad used to sing, but it sounded more like …”And liddle lamsy divey” and it wasn’t til later in the song that it was slowed down and you could hear the real words.
Happy memories!
Anyway, I have for you today………some pics of…..have you guessed it yet?
Ivy!
Well ivy buds, flowers and seed heads to be precise.
So here we go (and you may as well hover for those sassy yet amusing remarks!)…
They look a bit like fireworks. (Well green fireworks that go off in the day?)
So the next stage is this…
A little further on in the cycle….
I had to take this one when I saw him landing there right in front of my eyes…
And this one is very regal I thought…
Look at these!
I just like this next shot so it’s not in sequence…
That’s all!

“Oh you’re so easily!” distracted came the slightly exasperated cry.
We are at the allotment planning and measuring for beds but I have spotted some photo opportunities which lure me away with their promise of colour and excitement!
Somehow measuring beds of 5m x 1.2m is just not as exciting as….
(Are you remembering to hover over the pictures?)
Then there’s this little lovely…..
And even closer still…
Let’s move on to a different colour now….
And the final one…
And just in case you didn’t realise, these are all photos of Chard!
That’s all!

Today I have photos of two autumn plants that I have never seen before.
The first has berries of the most amazing colour-please don’t think I have been colouring small spheres in order to show you something new-they are real!
That is also the position they take on the shrub-sort of just off the main stem!
They are also called the Beauty Berry.
The other photos are of a plant called Gentiana which I think is wonderful…
They are also called ‘Angel’s Wings’
And, of course, the looking straight down photo….
A group shot
And that’s all!

…
Yes, Yes, Yes, today it’s wet out there and I was in tidying mode. This involved removing ‘stuff’ and putting it away in the shed……
On the way I noticed raindrops preparing to drip just about everywhere!
“Quickly,” I thought, “Get your camera!” (Phew no hills to sprint up-see blog ‘Sunset-you ain’t seen nothing yet’)
Here is a  washing line shot….
Remember to hover!
Then I saw these…..
By this stage my eyes were darting everywhere looking for more…ever more droplets about to let rip!
Then, this myriad of globules…
A while ago I planted some lettuce type greenery in inappropriately small pots. Thus to date there is not enough to make a sandwich, but they are perfect for a photo shoot!
I expect you may be wondering why I called this ‘Raindrops on Roses’?
Well, here you are….
Now, this last photo-well how could I have raindrops on roses without whiskers on kittens?
It is my own handiwork, though I am sure you would never know!
You can purchase it if you want, but move quickly as it’s a limited edition!
I’ve held you up too long, so here it is….
Ah well, I’ve made myself laugh!
That’s all!
