Whilst out walking today I saw what i presumed was something that had come out of a bird and onto a little hawthorn trying to make it’s way in life! Something, however, prompted me to look closer……at which point I thought….”Damn it all, it’s alive!”
You see at first it was lying flat but then it seemed to rear up!
This is a second ‘thing’ that also reared up as I came in close with my camera!
It was about half a centimetre long.
Now the next photo ain’t great but I wanted to show you the ‘thing’ in its flat version before I disturbed it with my camera!
Odd or what?
So if anyone knows….please let me know!
See Ya xx
A while later and some research completed……I can reveal it’s a fruit slugworm!
Having seen the ‘A Word A Week: Action’ photo that appeared yesterday from my blogging pal at http://ehkstream.org I was reminded of 4 photos I took a little while ago when I didn’t have my aperture set right (nor anything else set right for that matter!).
I couldn’t quite get rid of them because I rather liked the colours and swirls…
So what do you think?
With water drops!
I love the colours in this one…
Definitely my favourite!
So thank you Ehkstream for the inspiration. Check out the link to Etsy from Ehkstream’s blog too-beautiful jewellery, carvings and other lovely things.
So, once more at the allotment, with camera in hand (I know I know! It should be a spade or fork… OK!!) I sidled off to the chickens just round the corner.
I seem to have developed quite a penchant for chickens bottoms tail feathers as seen below!
The chickens got together and decided to never turn their backs on that camera woman again!!
In fact, they kept her well in their sight!
“It’s OK chaps, I can see her, she’s right in front of me, apparently captivated by the pattern of my feathers!” cackled Harriet to her friends!
“She’s moved on to me now!” shouted Norbert Knobble-Head, “And I have my beady eye on her!”
“Ill engage her in fascination with the strange light grey dot of something unmentionable on my head!” Norbert added, aware that he wasn’t sure of what it was either, but at least the camera wasn’t up his rear end!
“Not many people can resist the colour of my feathers!” said Criton Cockerel, “And I hope you blog readers out there realise that she has not done any photo shopping on any of these photos!” he added as an after thought!
“Wow de wow!” said Criton, only to aware that he probably shouldn’t have said it about himself AND out loud!
Criton relented and gave her a photo opportunity involving his best side!
