Weekly Photo Challenge: Poem to the Most Grand Grebe!

Here we have Geraint Grebe…..

Relaxing in the afternoon sun

Relaxed in the afternoon sun

He looked to the left

and the right……

IMG_9462

And thought “Fish…do you know I have none!”

He quickly set to rectifying this

And looked about galore

IMG_9463

And then with a twist and a wiggle

He produced one beak more!!

He produced one beak more!!

“And now I am ready to dive” he said

and started to rev up his feet….

He’s off on his dive in an instant

Let’s hope he finds something sweet!

Two ducks who I can’t yet identify

Take a peek to see where he’s at….

They spent ten minutes thinking, "He can hold his breath as long as that??"

They then spent ten minutes thinking,
“He holds his breath as long as that??”

Oh Geraint Grebe you’re so clever

To catch a fish that gigantic

While I smile to myself and think...

And I smile to myself and think…

Geraint Grebe you are most fantastic!

Geraint Grebe you are most fantastic!

That’s All!

Happy Birthday Mum!

She won’t like me telling you…oh no!

But I’m going to anyway as I am very proud of the fact that my dearest mama is 82 today!

Here she is by the river in Marlow after we consumed far too much lunch!

I said to look wistfully out over the water and she obeyed!

I said to look wistfully out over the water and she obeyed!

At this point I have to tell you that my large and full belly bumped the camera as I was walking along and changed the settings thus resulting in all the pictures having a strange bluey tint. I have tried to fix this but to no avail as you can see.

I then forced my mother (Yes…on her birthday!) to find things to photograph…..

Voila!

At the lock we found Gwenevere Grebe swimming up and down, perhaps wondering how to get out!

Gwenevere could get up quite a speed and create quite a wake having been blessed with an amazing aerodynamic shape!

One last thing!
