These photos were taken on Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire, just a little way from where I live.

At the top of the Beacon is this!

This is at the top of the Beacon! It’s a monument, just a little one, that I have taken a sort of horizontal picture from!

  1. Really great photographs.. You should sent them to the visitor centre maybe, or the glider club… The first one makes the trig point look like a runway 🙂

      • Triangulation Point is the correct name. Located on high spots all across the U.K. for the Ordinance Survey to mount their sighting equipment to measure angles between landmarks and of course ultimately create our maps. No longer used but still icons of the hills (and I believe some folk have ‘adopted’ ones \in famous locations) Sorry if you knew all that but just in case you didn’t
