Percy and Pedro met every morning to do their exercises…..
But Percy was always searching for something….he was fed up with the chaos of modern pigeon living and wanted to de-clutter! Which even began to extend into his daily training sessions!
One day he noticed that if he concentrated very hard he could even minimalise the amount of wings he used!!!
And from that day to this, Percy can be seen practising on my fence the minimalist one armed exercise regime!

See Ya xx
Only Lizzie Turner the Brilliant could take photos of pigeons that made them seem fascinating !!!!
Well thank you M-R! But they are fascinating, they really are! 🙂
Iffen you say so,Lizzie me love …
Oohen I do!! X
Then I believe you. X !
C’est toute bonne!!!!! Xx
In those last two photos, I see Tai Chi moves. 🙂 Very nice photos!
Yes… I think you’re right! Thanks 😉
I’ve missed your animal humor posts!!!
One-wing pigeon kung-fu must be all the rage — the mourning doves in my backyard like to sun themselves with one wing raised. Then when that wing gets tired, they warm the other one. Or perhaps they’re just airing their pits? Who knows. It’s amusing nonetheless….
Great images — really liked this!
These pigeons were actually having a fight!! I couldn’t believe it when I saw the raised wing slapping the other pigeon!! I have missed doing these posts but, you know when life is racing so fast you can hardly keep up??? Well that’s been me for a while! Anyway, thanks Jen 🙂 x
In your photos, I kept hearing little pigeon voices going “hi-yah!’ “hi-YAH!” So cute!
My birds, on the other hand, were just going, “yawn. duh.” 😉
Hoping you can catch your breath —
I like ‘yawn duh’ and would love to see them….a photo opportunity perhaps? 😉
Some day I hope to catch them wings-up for ya! Every time I see it I run to get the camera — and they’re done when I get back. 😦
But I WILL catch them some day — on film – some day — and it’ll definitely be a post 🙂
I look forward to it. BTW you must develop a cunning sneak when fetching your camera!! 🙂
Well, I meant “run” figuratively. But sometimes I think they’re on to me — they just KNOW when I’m thinking about getting the camera. It’s like, “look Mabel, she’s thinking about that camera again. You lift your right wing; I’ll lift my left wing; but when she gets back make sure she sees our tail feathers!”
😀
