On a recent trip to Northern Ireland we came across a church in Ballintoy which had an interesting history!
It had a steeple at one time in the late 1800’s but it got blown off in a storm!
It was never replaced and you can see the pointy things that attached it to the church (I’m no architect as you can probably tell!)!
So here’s a photo of it in the early evening light in June this year…..

See Ya xx
It’s a lovely little church, Lizzie darlin, steeple or no. And its equally lovely little graveyard is constantly attended, you can see: now, that’s really nice !
‘Twas very pretty. I didn’t notice the pointy bits at first and then my partner pointed it out to me!! Stupeeny or what!! 😉
Not to worry: when we were in Venice, I walked around St Mark’s Square throughout several days without noticing that the Lion wasn’t on its plinth !

I hate it when I miss the obvious!! But sadly I do do it!! X
Oh, me too ! – and am probably getting worse.
How are the shingles today, me old ?
Pustules a pustulating….eeeeyou! Sorry! Am ok! 😉
Goob.
Nice! What is a “chapel of ease?”
It is an Anglican chapel situated for the convenience of parishioners living a long distance from the parish church. So they tell me! 😉
Lovely graveyard
It was all very picturesque 🙂
