Whilst on holiday in Turkey, we went to a village called Girmeler which has some Thermal Springs. Should you go into the deep down Thermal Spring let me tell you, you will smell of sulphur for a good few days!
But on to the subject of ‘On Top’! Also in the village are caves which are alleged to have been where Alexander the Great and his army hid in troubled times!
You can see a hut at the bottom of this picture which will show you just how big the entrance is!
But it is when you are inside that it is most amazing…..we were told to look up to the ‘top’ of the cave and this is what we saw….
Now….could it be that Alexander the Great is haunting the cave?????
This effect is from water dripping down from the top of the cave.
Not just one ghostly face….
But two….
And all on the top of the possible cave hide out of Alexander the Great in Girmeler, Turkey!
