Can Hospital Watch Please Be OVER!

The essence of this blog is selfish deep relief as I (I haven’t forgotten my beloved sufferers in this-honest!)…yes, I think my high anxiety levels may be coming down as my nearest and dearest have all come through their operations! About time too I say!!

Over the past 3 weeks my son, my mother and my dearest friend have all undergone surgery….not forgetting a very lovely elderly neighbour who has been in hospital too!

Enid Ewe could do nothing but stare in amazement at how this woman had coped so magnificently with so many sick people around her!

You may well remember from last week’s posts that I had my mother staying with me after her carpel tunnel operation-she is well on the way to full hand health-hurray! A flower shot to celebrate!

This one goes to my mum whom I force to read my blog regularly!

(Is it ‘who’ or ‘whom’??)

Then there was my dearest friend Adrienne who provided a strange dog photo recently (http://wp.me/p2oXge-kN) who has had 6 and a half hour surgery and is now comfortable in hospital and demanding ice cream and TV from what I can gather! For her it’s a magnificent swan at full strength…

"Soon," said Cyril Swan, "You will be back to doing what the hell you want, unimpeded by anything...have a pint for me!"

Then there’s my 25 year old son James who has been travelling for nearly three years now (whatever did I do to offend him??). Well, a couple of nights ago he had a sleepwalking incident and broke his hand so badly he needed surgery to correct it! BLIMEY! He had the surgery last night and sounded much better this morning. By the way, he’s in New Zealand and I am in England!

These two go out to him…..

"Well, from what I can gather, he leapt up, fell back and woke up with a busted left hand!" said Sidney conspiratorially to his twin brother Sam. "Oh dear," said Sam, "Thank goodness we don't have hands!"

This last photo is of a pink lavateria flower given to us by my neighbour Maggie who had a bad reaction to the flu jab a month ago.

She’s now getting better thankfully…."Get well soon Maggie!" aid Lydia Laveteria!

And here is my love to them all…
