So today is the day to meet Blair the Blue Heron. First spotted along the canal just after I saw Gregory the Grey Heron (see yesterday’s post!).
Here he is….
He did stay there for a few more minutes….
It didn’t take Blair long to think he’d had enough and off he flew.
But three cheers for the press and take loads of photos in swift succession setting on my camera…..
Is it just me or is Blair trying to form letters with his wings and perhaps send us a message?
Maybe not!
But he did stop a little further on and pose in a beautiful manner and if you look hard you can see the strange hairy feathery bits on his back that made Gregory the Grey Heron rather jealous yesterday!
Aren’t I lucky living where I do with all this on my doorstep!
That’s All!
See Ya xx

I like the one where he makes a complete circle with his reflection in the water – V
Yes that was a good one…I quite liked the ‘n’ one meself
So gorgeous. I love the ones where the reflection is captured in the water.
Yes I agree…that blue heron did everything a heron should do for an amateur photographer!
Beautiful! What a handsome heron. And some amazing shapes and reflections there – gorgeous pics. I’m still sulking that the one and only time I saw a kingfisher, we were driving through a ford and couldn’t stop to get any pictures. But I’d swear the flash of colour is on my retinas forever.
What a lovely expression-the flash of colour is on my retinas forever..thanks by the way
