Keep Your Hair On (Heron-Get it?))- Part Two

So today is the day to meet Blair the Blue Heron. First spotted along the canal just after I saw Gregory the Grey Heron (see yesterday’s post!).

Here he is….

Oh how long will you stay still Blair?

Oh how long will you stay still Blair?

He did stay there for a few more minutes….

Just a little closer....

Just a little closer….

It didn’t take Blair long to think he’d had enough and off he flew.

But three cheers for the press and take loads of photos in swift succession setting on my camera…..

Is it just me or is Blair trying to form letters with his wings and perhaps send us a message?

Maybe not!

But he did stop a little further on and pose in a beautiful manner and if you look hard you can see the strange hairy feathery bits on his back that made Gregory the Grey Heron rather jealous yesterday!

"Oh blimey she's still there!" said Blair somewhat wearily!"Time to leave!"

“Oh blimey she’s still there!” said Blair somewhat wearily!
“Time to leave!”

And that's Blair on his way!

And that’s Blair on his way!

Aren’t I lucky living where I do with all this on my doorstep!

That’s All!

See Ya xx

  1. Beautiful! What a handsome heron. And some amazing shapes and reflections there – gorgeous pics. I’m still sulking that the one and only time I saw a kingfisher, we were driving through a ford and couldn’t stop to get any pictures. But I’d swear the flash of colour is on my retinas forever.

Go on.....say something to me! You know you want to! Dot knows you want to too!
